Our attorney, Tracy Alsup, has 20 years of experience fighting aggressively in court on various VA claim cases. She was accredited by the Department of Veteran Affairs and admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Tracy Alsup was raised in the Portland, OR area. After graduating from high school, Tracy received her Bachelors and Juris Doctorate degrees from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. After graduating from law school, Tracy served as a U.S. Navy Judge Advocate (JAG) officer, acting as a prosecutor when she was assigned to the San Diego Naval Base.

Tracy left active duty and became an attorney with the Board of Veterans Appeals before moving to the Department of Veterans Affairs General Counsel’s Office where, for 12 years, she represented the Secretary at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). During that period, Tracy was sent to Afghanistan to interview numerous witnesses where she served as a defense counsel, operational law attorney, and ethics counselor at the Washington Naval Yard, the Joint Chiefs of Staff command, and the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet command.

Tracy and her husband, Jim, live in the Portland, OR area and have a grade school child. Tracy’s hobbies include golf, physical fitness, and travel.
